Broadband the challenge of Africa’s Internet connectivity.

 

CIOs and IT infrastructure experts are coming together on the 13-14 of August 2014, in Cape Town SA,  for the annual IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit. The summit will address the broadband challenges faced by all scopes of enterprise in South Africa and will feature industry thought leaders including Indiphile Koen, Head of IS/IT at Nestle SA and Chris Botha the Group IT Executive of Famous Brands.

Keynote speaker Keith Anderson will deliver a presentation on Managing the Green Data Centre: An Environmentally Sustainable Approach. Keith is the Chairman of the e-Waste Association of South Africa (eWASA ) and an IT waste management specialist.

This two day event will give attendees an indication of the government projects underway that will improve connectivity on a local and national scale and Speakers from the City of Cape Town will showcase the City Telecoms Broadband Infrastructure and the broadband roll out strategies in place.

The conference program has been designed by IT specialists and underpins 3 key focus areas:

  • Data Centres
  • Servers And Operating Systems
  • Broadband Networks & Systems

An interactive agenda designed to maximise audience participation with Q&A sessions integrated into panel discussions, keynotes and workshops aims to give attendees the opportunity to discuss the means of tackling broadband challenges in the workplace and reducing maintenance costs to keep within IT budgets.

The 2014 IT Infrastructure and Broadband Africa is taking place in Cape Town at the Westin Hotel on the 13 – 14 August 2014.
