The time was set for 14.30pm, it is now going to 17.00hrs. (writes topi lyambila)  Beefed up security in and around Bomas of Kenya and also in the City surrounding Estates where Police units can be seen standing guard.

Breaking News indicate that we may wait a little longer.  Word had it we were waiting for President Uhuru Kenyatta and yes we are also still waiting.  But just a few minutes ago (16.55hrs Deputy President William Ruto left Bomas of Kenya where he had come about one and half hours before.    The DPs exit follows that of NASA Coalition leader Hon. Raila Odinga who left about 16.45pm.

What this may mean is that the President is not coming very soon and that we may have  quite a bit to wait.  Latest reports indicate that earlier Hon Raila Odinga on arrival had a brief meeting with the IEBC Chairman in the presence of Foreign Diplomatic Corps and the country’s Religious Leaders.  The NASA presidential candidate (ODM) arrived alongside his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and other NASA chiefs.

Other Opposition leaders attending the meeting are chief agent Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and alternate chief agent Siaya Senator James Orengo.

On leaving Bomas, Deputy President went  to KICC – The Jubilee HQs – where it is expected he will link up with the President who had earlier been reported as leaving his home headed for Bomas.

We now eagerly await an IEBC briefing to shade some light on what is going on.
