Firstly Gareth Bale’s future is in turmoil after it emerged the forward is reluctant to risk his relationship with Tottenham supporters by handing in a transfer request at White Hart Lane. Many pundits and analysts alike, believe; at the age of 24, Gareth Bale is a Champions League player in a Europa League team. He has spoken to enough people to know that now is the time to move. Moving on, Manchester United manager David Moyes is returning to England to prepare for showdown talks with Wayne Rooney. Besides that, Moyes could be heading for more transfer frustration after it emerged that Real Madrid want Manchester United target Luka Modric to act as minder for Gareth Bale. However, Nani fired a timely reminder of his talents to his new manager as a Manchester United XI – including captain Nemanja Vidic – won 2-0 at Crewe. Furthermore Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse has broken his silence in his row over new club sponsor Wonga, revealing he consulted Islamic teachers before deciding to pull on the team’s new shirt. Meanwhile Fabio Capello claims England have failed to challenge for major trophies because the players are exhausted. The former England boss blamed the lack of a mid-season break. New Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino has handed club chiefs a shortlist of five Premier League defenders who he wants this summer. they include Vincent Kompany, Jan Vertonghen, Daniel Agger, David Luiz and Thomas Vermaelen. Valencia are planning an audacious bid for Chelsea misfit Fernando Torres as they prepare to push through Roberto Soldado’s £26million move to White Hart Lane. With Soldado on his way to the Lane, Valencia are desperately short of attacking options but almost as low on funds and Moyes is ready to turn down a loan move by Los Che for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez. In addition, Liverpool should sell Luis Suarez sooner rather than later’ to give themselves time to find a suitable big name replacement, according to Anfield legend John Barnes.
